All India Mathematical Olympiad

The All-India Mathematical Olympiad (AIMO) is an annual academic competition organized by NCSM Foundation (a venture of NCSM—Training Partner of the Government of India and several State Governments). This Olympiad is open to students from Classes vI to X and is designed to assess their mathematical reasoning and logical abilities

The curriculum of the All-India Mathematical Olympiad is thoughtfully aligned with national education standards and the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP). It aims to provide young students a national platform to identify and nurture their academic talents in mathematics from an early age, thereby fostering a strong foundation for future competitive examinations and higher education.

Olympiads, as envisioned in the NEP, play a critical role in enhancing problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and cognitive development. The AIMO encourages analytical skills and a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts, helping students build confidence and achieve academic excellence.

This section provides all necessary details about the All India Mathematical Olympiad (AIMO) organized by NCSM Foundation, including exam dates, award information, and how to participate. Our primary goal is to encourage students to explore their mathematical potential and excel in both academic and professional arenas.

Awards, Scholarships & Recognition

For the academic session 2025–26, top-performing students in the All-India Mathematical Olympiad(AIMO) & All India Science Olympiad (AISO)—organized by NCSM Foundation—will be honoured with a wide range of awards and scholarships. These recognitions are presented at the national, zonal, and school levels for students of Classes 6 to 10.

The top 100 national rank holders in the All-India Mathematical Olympiad (AIMO) & All India Science Olympiad (AISO) will be awarded scholarships to support their preparation for future competitive examinations. They will also receive gold, silver, or bronze medals (as applicable) along with Certificates of Excellence.

In addition, meritorious students at the Zonal and School levels will be recognized with medals, certificates, and scholarships. Every student who participates in the Olympiad will be awarded an Online Certificate of Appreciation, acknowledging their effort and enthusiasm for mathematics and Science.

To honour the vital role of schools and subject teachers in nurturing young mathematical and Science minds, special awards and Certificates of Appreciation will be presented at the National, Zonal, and District levels, recognizing their dedication, contribution, and educational impact.

In the unlikely event of Level-2 Exams not being conducted due to factors beyond control, Rank achieved in the Level-1 Exam will be treated as final result.
