All India Science Olympiad

The All-India Science Olympiad (AISO) is an annual academic competition conducted by the NCSM Foundation (a venture of NCSM—Training Partner of the Government of India and several State Governments). This Olympiad is open to students from Classes VI to X and is designed to evaluate their scientific knowledge, reasoning ability, and understanding of core scientific principles.

The curriculum of the All-India Science Olympiad is carefully aligned with national education standards and reflects the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP). It provides a national level platform for young learners to discover and nurture their aptitude in science, helping them build a strong academic foundation for future studies and competitive examinations.

As highlighted in the NEP, Olympiads like AISO play an essential role in developing scientific temperament, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and analytical reasoning. AISO aims to stimulate curiosity, deepen conceptual clarity, and promote a hands-on understanding of science, empowering students to become confident and competent learners.

This section outlines all the important information related to the All-India Science Olympiad (AISO) conducted by the NCSM Foundation, including examination dates, award and scholarship details, and guidelines for participation. The primary objective is to inspire students to explore the world of science and excel both academically and in future scientific pursuits.

Awards, Scholarships & Recognition

For the academic session 2025–26, top-performing students in the All-India Mathematical Olympiad(AIMO) & All India Science Olympiad (AISO)—organized by NCSM Foundation—will be honoured with a wide range of awards and scholarships. These recognitions are presented at the national, zonal, and school levels for students of Classes 6 to 10.

The top 100 national rank holders in the All-India Mathematical Olympiad (AIMO) & All India Science Olympiad (AISO) will be awarded scholarships to support their preparation for future competitive examinations. They will also receive gold, silver, or bronze medals (as applicable) along with Certificates of Excellence.

In addition, meritorious students at the Zonal and School levels will be recognized with medals, certificates, and scholarships. Every student who participates in the Olympiad will be awarded an Online Certificate of Appreciation, acknowledging their effort and enthusiasm for mathematics and Science.

To honour the vital role of schools and subject teachers in nurturing young mathematical and Science minds, special awards and Certificates of Appreciation will be presented at the National, Zonal, and District levels, recognizing their dedication, contribution, and educational impact.

In the unlikely event of Level-2 Exams not being conducted due to factors beyond control, Rank achieved in the Level-1 Exam will be treated as final result.
